The Worx Landroid M500 Plus offers some innovations that significantly differentiate it from its predecessor M500. Here you will learn what these differences are and what advantages the new features bring.
The Worx Landroid M500 Plus: Meaningful Innovations for Lawn Care
The Worx Landroid M500 is one of the most popular robot lawn mowers on the market and the best-selling robot lawn mower in Europe. Thanks to a good price-performance ratio and the edge mowing function (Cut-To-Edge), it offers an attractive package compared to the competition to automate mowing your home garden.
The new models from 2021 come with a few improvements that are found in the Plus version (sometimes also referred to as Landroid 500 2.0 or M700 2.0 with model number WR165E for the 500 and WR167E for the 700) of the Worx Landroid. Below we clarify the differences of the Worx Landroid Plus from its predecessor.

Differences of the M500 Plus compared to the M500 summarized:
- Control via Bluetooth as an alternative to Wi-Fi
- Floating mowing deck for better cutting pattern and longevity of the mowing deck
- Quick selection wheel and LCD display for quick control on the device
- IPX5 water jet protection for easy cleaning
- Noise emissions reduced
The new series of Worx Landroid – Model Names
Let's put it this way: The new names of the 2021 Worx robot lawn mower series are somewhat unfortunately chosen, because on the one hand the model numbers are long, on the other hand, additions like 2.0 and Plus version add further confusion. Therefore, you should pay close attention to the name to know which model you have in front of you. The models are named as follows:
WR141E vs. WR165E
The [url="https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07LFPKYC1?tag=monstec-21",name="WR141E",title=""] is the older 2019 model of the Landroid 500, the WR165E is the new Plus or 2.0 Landroid.

The same applies to the model [url="https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07LFWY9FB?tag=monstec-21",name="WR142E",title=""] as the 2019 model and WR167E as the new Plus or 2.0 model of the Landroid 700.

Bluetooth in the Plus Version – What Are the Advantages?
With the Worx Landroid, setting up the device and controlling it via the app, e.g., for changing mowing times, etc., was previously only possible with an existing Wi-Fi connection. As soon as the robot was outside this area, this was no longer possible, and settings had to be made somewhat more inconveniently directly on the device or control had to be relinquished until it was back in Wi-Fi. Even if the cloud service failed, personal settings could not be accessed.
The new model now has Bluetooth integrated. This is helpful in gardens where the Wi-Fi does not reach far enough or none is available. Thanks to Bluetooth, the robot is no longer dependent on a Wi-Fi connection if you want to control it mobile. As known with Bluetooth, this only applies if you are in the immediate vicinity of the robot. I have already [url="https://www.produck.de/quack/4658/der-worx-landroid-m700-plus-wr167e-im-test-dichter-rasen-wohin-man-schaut",name="tried it",title="Test Landroid M700 Plus"] and 15 meters were no problem for transferring commands. Usually, a range of 10-20 meters is supported in open terrain.
[topdeals]Longer Durability Thanks to Floating Mowing Deck
The floating mowing deck can automatically adjust its height. If the Landroid detects unevenness, it raises the mowing deck to prevent it from touching the ground or stones from damaging the mowing deck. The function is also referred to as "Groundtracer" (or self-leveling mowing deck), which means the optical scanning of the ground with the help of a sensor. With better protection of the mowing deck, nothing stands in the way of long-term use, making the innovation in terms of cost a real advantage of the Landroid M500 Plus WR165E compared to the old version.

In addition, the noise emissions have been minimized, so the new Worx M500 Plus model operates quieter than its predecessors. Especially in densely built areas, a significant advantage!
Easier Operation of the M500 Plus
While the older version has a simple keypad and LED display, the Plus version offers a quick selection wheel and LCD display. The quick selection wheel allows for faster selection of the desired option. Those who want to do without Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are well advised with the new operation and the new display and save time.

Easy Cleaning with IPX5 Water Jet Protection
Thanks to the IPX5 water jet protection, you can now spray clean your Landroid M500 Plus or M700 Plus directly with the garden hose. With older models, for example, you had to use a dry brush and a damp cloth. The water jet protection makes cleaning much easier in my view.
