In the competition of vacuum mops, Tineco has set high standards with its [url="https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0C23DFMT6?tag=produck-21",name="Floor One S6",title=""] and [url="https://www.amazon.de/dp/B088H28VPM?tag=produck-21",name="Floor One S7",title=""] models. Which of these high-tech helpers suits you can be quickly determined based on the differences. Basically, the One S6 sets priorities compared to the S7 and largely forgoes nice but not necessary gimmicks. The Tineco S7, on the other hand, is equipped with additional functions and innovative technologies. Our comparison below highlights the essential differences and common strengths of both models to make your decision easier.
Update November 2024
Tineco Floor One S6 – New Variants and Functions
The Tineco Floor One S6 is now available in two new versions: the S6 Stretch and the S6 Switch.
The Stretch version was specifically developed for more flexible use, as it can be laid flat on the floor, making it easier to clean hard-to-reach places like under furniture. It also features a hot water rinse system as well as hot air drying of the brush roll, which according to tests provides more hygienic cleaning and an odor-free brush. Additionally, the battery life has been extended by 5 minutes. Another innovation is the relocation of the fresh water tank from the main unit to the floor nozzle, making the device easier to handle. The waste water tank has also been improved so that solid dirt particles are separated from water more effectively, making cleaning easier. Although I personally prefer to clean the brushes of my S5 Pro 2 by hand with hot water and soap and dry them outdoors, these new functions could represent a significant work relief for many users.
The S6 Switch version, on the other hand, offers a modular solution: With various attachments, the device can be used either as a vacuum mop or as a compact handheld vacuum. This variant is particularly aimed at users who value versatility and are looking for a device that combines multiple cleaning functions in one. It is comparable to the S7 Combo.
Essential Differences of the Tineco Floor One S6 vs. S7 and My Assessment of the Added Value
Illuminated floor nozzle: The S7 offers an illuminated nozzle that makes not only the dirt on the floor but also the mopping trail more visible. From my perspective, this is still a "nice to have" feature that increases comfort but is not necessarily necessary.
illuminated floor nozzle of the Tineco One S7 Wheel drive: The S7 supports guiding the vacuum mop with an active wheel drive, which however was not always reliable in the [url="https://www.produck.de/quack/4514/tineco-floor-one-s7-pro-im-test-der-neue-testsieger",name="S7 test",title=""] and sometimes rotated against the guiding direction.
Tineco One S7 wheel drive Display: The S7 features a large 3.6 inch LCD display with animated videos for usage and maintenance instructions, while the S6 only has an LED display with symbols. However, since vacuum mopping is not rocket science, the symbols of the energy-saving LED display on the Tineco S6 are completely sufficient.

The LED displays of Tineco vacuum mops are basically functional and completely sufficient (shown here using the S5 Steam as an example) Steam variant: The S7 is available in a Steam variant that cleans the floor with steam and operates cordlessly on battery power.
Ultra mode: The S7 offers electrochemical charging (electrolysis) of the water in Ultra mode, which is supposed to improve germ elimination. It's hard to say how big the effect really is, but it gave me a good feeling during testing.
In Ultra mode, the water is electrolyzed Battery life and charging time: The S7 has a slightly longer battery life (40 minutes vs. 35 minutes for the S6), but still needs 20 minutes less for charging (300 minutes). It still has the slightly smaller dimensioned battery of 3900 mAh compared to 4000 mAh in the Tineco One S6. Since the runtime of the devices is generally limited, the S7 can score points here. With 40 minutes, I could clean about 100 m² of living space.

Price: The S7 is significantly more expensive and costs between 700 and 800 euros, while the Tineco One S6 is available from 500 euros. Considering its minor disadvantages, it offers the better price-performance ratio from my perspective.
Common Features of Tineco Floor One S6 and S7
- MHCBS™ technology: Both models use the innovative MHCBS™ technology for thorough brush cleaning, which ensures effective dirt capture from the brush, resulting in less dirt being spread on the floor.
- Air drying through centrifugal force: Both the S6 and S7 use centrifugal force for air drying, which contributes to extending the lifespan (especially through better hygiene) of the brush and maintaining cleaning performance.
- Edge-to-edge cleaning: Thanks to their new construction with greater working width, both models enable edge-to-edge cleaning, allowing for more comprehensive floor coverage and more efficient cleaning.
The edge-to-edge floor nozzle cleans right into the last corner on both the S6 and S7 - Package contents: The package contents of both vacuum mops are designed identically, with essential accessories included for immediate operation.
- Combo variant: Both the S6 (called S6 Switch) and the S7 (called S7 Combo) are available as combo variants, where the device can be converted from a vacuum mop into a handheld vacuum.
