Tineco Pure One Station 5 | TEST | Cleans the apartment and itself!

Looking for a suitable everyday vacuum cleaner for quick incidents between kitchen and bedroom, I brought a cordless vacuum cleaner, the Tineco Pure One Station 5, into the most natural test environment – my home.

We are a two-person household. The everyday division of tasks is perhaps a little different than one might initially assume: My wife takes care of the manual tasks, and I like to take care of the feel-good aesthetics with the help of various cleaning utensils. The mobile vacuum cleaner was quickly unpacked. And first impression: Yes, we could become friends. But before we tie the bond of friendship, we should get to know each other better – trust is good, control is notoriously better.

1. Suction Power and Cleaning Performance

The suction power convinces from the start. The vacuum has decent power – you notice this not only on smooth laminate and parquet surfaces, but also in fabric carpets, where the occasional crumb likes to make itself comfortable. According to the manufacturer, the device sucks with around 24 kPa (175W), which is quite solid. Also worth mentioning is the tangle-free floor nozzle (Anti-Tangle technology), which smooths sucked-in hair and thus prevents tangling even of long hair. The nozzle is designed for both hard floors and carpets and convinced in the test on both floor types.

2. Battery Life and Charging Time

A real friend likes to come along for a walk – but for a demanding hike, the battery doesn't quite last. The Tineco Pure One is more of a walking friend: In turbo mode, the battery performance unfortunately isn't sufficient to completely vacuum a 90-square-meter apartment (about 20 minutes are possible at full power, which is quite good for a cordless vacuum). For a quick cleaning after evening cooking or intensive cleaning in between, the Pure One Station 5 is an ideal companion.

With regular use, however, a lower level is also sufficient. Available are the Eco, Auto and Max modes. This means the Pure One Station 5 also has a smart suction mode that regulates suction power as needed. Here the well-known iLoop sensor is used (as we know it from the [url="https://www.siio.de/quack/4420/tineco-pure-one-s15-pro-im-test-mit-blaettern-sand-und-haar/",name="Tineco One S15",title="Tineco One S15 Pro Test"]), which analyzes dirt and automatically adjusts suction power. This makes the device work very efficiently.

At medium suction power, the battery should last up to 45 minutes according to the manufacturer. In Eco mode, it's even 70 minutes. In everyday testing, the endurance was somewhat shorter, but quite solid. In this mode, I got through the home's four walls just fine.

An advantage is that the battery is manually replaceable, so a spare battery can provide relief for heavy users.

Summary: Perfectly suitable for everyday, under 20-minute, intensive intermediate cleanings. With low dirt levels, a good 50-60 minutes of cleaning time is possible and thus in Auto mode, up to 100 m² with moderate dirt can be handled well.

3. Handling and Ergonomics

I'm used to dumbbell training, but the vacuum is anything but an unwieldy steel dumbbell. Thanks to the 2-grip system, where you can grip from above and from behind, it sits well in the hand and can be operated intuitively and folded well. Thanks to the flat design of the vacuum, you can get surprisingly well under furniture like beds and sofas. In everyday testing, you suddenly reach places that haven't seen a vacuum cleaner in a long time. The various joints on the vacuum also enable easy and targeted maneuvering. Even for a movement sloth like me, it's no problem to thoroughly clean abandoned corners.

The few levers and the control panel, which faces the user, are self-explanatory and make a high-quality impression. On the display, you can easily read the battery/charging status using four bars. The suction power can be varied between Eco/Max/Auto with thumb/finger pressure. This also gives you some leeway regarding battery performance.

In addition, a green LED light that illuminates 120 degrees in front of the floor nozzle makes dirt and dust clearly visible regardless of lighting. This LED light automatically turns on when starting the cordless vacuum and immediately shows what lurks on surfaces and where you've already cleaned – very practical! This makes vacuuming enjoyable.

The station also does a great job: After vacuuming, you hang the device in the station, and within seconds the contents of the mobile container are sucked into the stationary container (no bag or other costly frills required). Here Tineco really stepped out of its shadow and traded revenue (the dust bags are a real gold mine for manufacturers) for user-friendliness – Thank you! The filling volume of 2.5 liters is sufficient for several cleaning rounds, so you rarely have to empty the stationary unit. Practical, clean and time-saving.

The cleaning itself is easy and takes place in just a few steps (more on this later).

4. Build Quality and Material Quality

After a day full of test runs, I can say: The build quality is right. The device doesn't make any rattling or squeaking noises, the gap dimensions fit, it feels stable. This also applies to the station. Overall, like many competitors, a lot of plastic is used.

The price may seem steep, but if you compare the device with the elite from Dyson, Miele and Co., it quickly becomes clear that the device is quite fairly priced considering the performance. In the Tineco shop we're at about 399 euros RRP, on Amazon the device is usually available cheaper.

All in all, I can attest that price and high-quality workmanship go well together.

5. Noise Level

No reason to worry that overzealous neighbors could complain during legal quiet hours – the vacuum is quiet. Particularly in Auto mode, the Tineco One Station 5 is well tolerable. Sensitive ears or pets will be grateful at any time of day. Even in turbo mode, I didn't feel disturbed, even though the device is in the higher noise range compared to other cordless vacuums.

6. Station and Charging Options

The charging station appears stable and is stable. It fits well into the room and is also visually appealing – so you don't necessarily have to hide it behind a door. Apart from that, this isn't quite easy either, because the station isn't particularly compact. A drawback is also that the power cable is somewhat short. But as household manager and craftswoman, my wife fortunately quickly had a triple socket ready – problem solved. Being married pays off.

A special feature is the intelligent charging that prevents premature capacity loss of the battery. It should also be mentioned that the Tineco One Station 5 is available as a "Plus" variant. The Plus suggests that the device can be controlled via WLAN with the Tineco app and maintenance instructions as well as cleaning reminders are viewable. A nice extension that, in my experience, quickly loses relevance in everyday life.

7. Filter and Container System

Containers and filters can be easily removed, opened and cleaned if necessary, both on the mobile vacuum and on the station. Dirt can be cleanly emptied into the bin without causing large dust clouds. The connections and seals appear high-quality. The clicking of individual components works very well; a stable clicking sound gives feedback that everything has been properly connected – practical.

Both in the Tineco vacuum and in the station, thoroughly hygienic filter systems are installed. With a HEPA-13 filter and six-fold filtering, even the smallest particles remain in the respective containers. The HEPA filter is also washable. The device is therefore quite suitable even for allergy sufferers.

8. Accessories and Attachments

In the accessories, I would have liked to see a few more practical accessories. In addition to the suction tube and floor nozzle included, there are already a combined dust and crevice nozzle, as you know it from the current Dyson Gen5 Detect ([url="https://www.produck.de/quack/4768/dyson-gen5-detect-absolute-im-langzeittest-technologische-innovation-oder-teures-risiko/",name="to the test",title=""]), with which important extensions for cleaning in the car, for example, are available. Additionally, a mini power brush is included in the scope of delivery, which is suitable for vacuuming upholstery. What I'm missing, however, is a flexible or bendable suction tube and a soft floor nozzle for hard floors. All in all, the most important things are included.

9. My Conclusion and Price-Performance Ratio

The price of 399 euros from the manufacturer may seem steep, but for the good build quality, strong suction performance and thorough suction station, it's justified.
