Some Roborock Qrevo models are as similar as two peas in a pod. In this comparison, I examine the differences between the Qrevo QV 35A vs. QV 35S and show when each model is preferable.

Roborock Qrevo QV 35A vs. QV 35S – the difference is in the details

Both models share many features – the biggest difference is suction power (Image for illustration purposes only. Actual product may vary).

Quick verdict from my practical tests: Both Roborock models navigate very similarly, clean and vacuum well, and are software-wise identical. QV 35S: 10,000 Pa vs. QV 35A: 8,000 Pa – the difference is usually minimal in daily use. Therefore, price is primarily the deciding factor.

Prices (as of editorial): QV 35A: €589.99 — QV 35S: €539.99. Different MSRP/sale prices were mentioned in a US video; regional differences are normal.

Commonalities that Matter in Daily Use

  • Navigation: LiDAR-assisted, fast mapping, room planning, virtual walls and no-go zones.
  • Cleaning principle: Vacuuming and mopping simultaneously, rotating mop pads, spray moistening, moisture level in app from 0–30.
  • Base station: Automatic dust emptying, mop pad cleaning, fresh and dirty water tank.
  • Carpet logic: Carpet sensor lifts mop pads by 10 mm and stops water supply on carpet.
  • Hardware: Same brush design including anti-tangle side brush, same wheels, same dustbin & filter (cleaning approx. every 2 weeks).
  • Safety: Drop sensors present.
  • App: Identical Roborock app with room plans, cleaning zones, intensities and schedules per room.
  • Privacy: No camera, no microphone.

"In practice, I notice no big difference on carpet and hard floors – both clean very well, the extra 2,000 Pa are no game changer." — Source: YouTube (feature comparison)

"The S is mainly worth it for thick carpet or lots of pet hair – otherwise A and S differ little." — Source: Reddit (community experiences)

What's Missing (in both)

  • No hot air drying of mop pads: Room air drying takes approx. 6–8 hours; with hot air ~2 hours would be realistic.
  • No hot water in the station for mop cleaning.

QV 35A – Pros & Cons

  • Very good all-round cleaning on hard floors
  • Identical app features as the 35S
  • Gentle driving behavior, reliable LiDAR mapping
  • [url="https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0DQPVLXF8?tag=produck-21",name="Buy here",title=""]
  • Less suction reserves on high-pile carpets
  • No hot air drying/no hot water in station
  • Sensitive to cables and very flat obstacles

QV 35S – Pros & Cons

  • 10,000 Pa: noticeable reserves on thick carpet and with lots of pet hair
  • Otherwise identical, mature software
  • Same, low-maintenance hardware setup (trays, filters, tanks)
  • [url="https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0DSLHDCF5?tag=produck-21",name="Buy here",title=""]
  • In daily use on hard floors barely better than the 35A
  • Also here: no hot air drying/no hot water
  • Same behavior with cables and very flat objects

My Practical Impression and Recommendation

On parquet and tiles, both candidates cleaned very similarly in my test runs: edges, corners and everyday dust are no problem; the rotating mop pads reliably remove dried stains with moderate moisture levels. On high-pile carpets and with lots of pet hair, the QV 35S with its 10,000 Pa brought a bit more, which is mainly noticeable in the first pass. However, those who predominantly have hard floors will rarely notice the difference to the QV 35A.

Price/performance today: At the prices mentioned here, the QV 35S (€539.99) is the more attractive purchase, as it's cheaper despite higher suction power. If prices reverse (sales!), my rule applies: Take the cheaper one – the daily experience is nearly identical.

  • help

    Which model suits me?

Predominantly hard floors, little pet hair: QV 35A is completely sufficient. Lots of carpet/pet hair or maximum reserves desired: QV 35S.

  • help

Do you really notice the extra 2,000 Pa?

Only in demanding scenarios (high-pile carpet, lots of hair/dirt). On hard floors the difference is minimal.

  • help

How long do the mop pads take to dry?

Without hot air approx. 6–8 hours. Models with hot air drying manage ~2 hours, but are usually more expensive.

  • help

Are there differences in the app?

No. Maps, no-go zones, schedules, moisture levels and cleaning modes are identical.

Transparency & Privacy: Both models have no camera and no microphone access. Price information may change; regional MSRP/sale prices from US videos often differ from EU prices.
