Busch-Jaeger has activated direct integration of Eve devices into Busch-free@home via Matter-over-Thread. The move pairs a new Matter Controller Addon with a Thread USB Stick, upgrading the System Access Point to act as both a Matter controller and a Thread Border Router. In practice, that means Eve’s Thread-based products can now join Busch-free@home without third-party bridges, extra hubs, or cloud services. From my perspective, this is a welcome, standards-first step that simplifies mixed installations.

In tandem, Busch-Jaeger starts distributing select Eve devices via electrical wholesalers — launching with practical 3-packs of Eve Energy, Eve Door & Window, and Eve Motion to streamline rollouts for pro installers.
