Two new robot vacuums from Mova: MOVA V70 Ultra Complete and Z70 Z70 Ultra Roller Complete: Going deep into the edge. Read here what they can.

MOVA expands its “Beyond the Edge” smart-living vision with two new robot vacuums

MOVA used its European launch event in Hamburg to present a broader smart-home strategy and, from my perspective, a very clear product message: clean the areas robot vacuums usually miss. The centerpiece is the new MOVA V70 Ultra Complete, scheduled to launch in May 2026, and it arrives with what MOVA describes as the industry’s first extendable cleaning system of its kind for hard-to-reach edges, corners, and gaps.

MOVA’s European launch event in Hamburg focused on the company’s new “Beyond the Edge” direction.

The company frames this under its new vision, “Beyond the Edge”. In practical terms, that means MOVA no longer wants to be seen only as a robotics specialist. Instead, it is positioning itself as a broader AI-powered smart-living brand spanning home cleaning, outdoor care, innovation products, and energy management.

“We are building an intelligent MOVA universe. Our focus is shifting from individual products to a connected ecosystem — and away from competition over pure technical specifications toward a comprehensive user experience,” said Kurt Wang, WEU Sales Director at MOVA.

That statement matters because it explains the launch quite well. Yes, there are headline specs here, but the stronger story is about usability: fewer missed edges, less manual follow-up, and lower maintenance over time.

MOVA V70 Ultra Complete: a new approach to edge and gap cleaning

The V70 Ultra Complete is the model that drew most of the attention, and I can see why. It targets one of the longest-standing weaknesses in the category: narrow spaces, corners, wall edges, and hidden zones under furniture where many robot vacuums still clean only partially.

The V70 Ultra Complete introduces MOVA’s MaxiReachX system for deeper edge access.

At the center of the device is the new MaxiReachX™ system, which combines two standout mechanisms:

  • 16 cm MaxiReachX™ mop extension for deeper access into tight spaces

  • 12 cm MaxiReachX™ side-brush extension for automatic dust removal along walls, corners, and low-clearance areas

According to MOVA, the extended mop can deliver up to three times better corner and edge cleaning performance. The key detail is not just the length, but the slim form factor combined with an adaptive multi-angle mechanism. In other words, the system is meant to reach further without becoming clumsy around furniture legs or delicate household objects.

The side brush follows a similar idea. It extends automatically when the robot detects narrow spaces, helping it sweep along edges that conventional round-bodied robots often leave dusty. MOVA says the design allows cleaning in gaps as narrow as 3.8 cm, which is an especially ambitious claim and one of the most interesting real-world tests for reviewers once the model is widely available.

Key takeaway: From my perspective, the V70’s appeal is not raw suction alone. Its real promise is that it should reduce the familiar “robot did 90%, human did the corners” problem.

Bagless dust collection and high-end core performance

Another important addition is the EcoCyclone™ bagless dust collection system. Instead of relying on disposable dust bags, MOVA says the system can run for up to 100 days with low maintenance before manual emptying becomes necessary. For households trying to cut recurring costs and disposable waste, that is a meaningful advantage.

Beyond the edge-cleaning hardware, the spec sheet is clearly positioned in the premium segment. MOVA lists:

  • 40,000 Pa suction power

  • Obstacle climbing up to 9 cm

  • Retractable navigation sensor

  • Intelligent route planning with recognition of more than 300 objects

  • 6,400 mAh battery with Smart Resume

The company also claims a 30% faster charging time compared with the earlier V50. In larger homes, that matters more than it may seem at first glance. A robot that recharges faster and resumes work more intelligently tends to feel less intrusive and more dependable in day-to-day use.

For users who want an even more automated setup, MOVA will also offer an Auto Water Refill & Drain Kit. That optional accessory is designed to automate fresh-water refilling and wastewater draining, further reducing manual maintenance.

Z70 Ultra Roller Complete: cleaner mopping through fresh-water circulation

Alongside the V70, MOVA also introduced the Z70 Ultra Roller Complete. This model focuses less on extreme gap access and more on a different weakness many mopping robots still struggle with: using increasingly dirty water during the cleaning cycle.

The Z70 Ultra Roller Complete builds on MOVA’s roller-based mopping concept with several targeted upgrades.

Building on the earlier Z60 Ultra Roller Complete, the new Z70 is aimed at larger households and more demanding cleaning scenarios. MOVA describes the upgrade path as a shift from simple water use to high-pressure fresh-water circulation, and from routine floor care to whole-home cleaning consistency.

The company highlights three main improvements:

  • Better edge and corner cleaning through a revised cleaning structure and MaxiReach™ dual extension combining brush and mop

  • Improved obstacle crossing with the ability to overcome thresholds up to 9 cm

  • Stronger overall balance of power and pressure, including up to 30% longer runtime, 36,000 Pa suction, and 18 N downward pressure

What I find notable here is the mechanical refinement around mopping. MOVA says the Z70 uses side sensors for more precise edge guidance and an adaptive roller compression of 52 mm to maintain closer yet gentler contact with surfaces. If that works well in practice, it could improve not only visible dirt pickup but also consistency along skirting boards and room perimeters, where roller systems often reveal their strengths.

How the two new MOVA models differ

Although both products sit in the premium smart-cleaning segment, they do not chase exactly the same priority. The V70 Ultra Complete is the more unusual launch because of its extendable reach system and focus on cleaning spots that are typically left behind. The Z70 Ultra Roller Complete, meanwhile, appears more centered on mopping quality, fresh-water management, and whole-home stability.

Homes with tricky edges and narrow spaces

Larger homes with demanding mopping needs

  • V70 introduces a genuinely interesting solution for corners and narrow gaps

  • Bagless EcoCyclone system may reduce waste and ongoing costs

  • Z70 appears better tuned for consistent wet cleaning over larger areas

  • Both models promise strong mobility with 9 cm obstacle handling

  • Some headline claims, especially around edge performance, still need independent testing

  • Premium hardware usually means a premium price point

  • Advanced stations and optional water kits can increase setup complexity

  • Real-world performance will depend heavily on app tuning and navigation reliability

My assessment: a meaningful step beyond spec-sheet competition

From my experience, the robot vacuum market often gets trapped in a familiar pattern: more suction, more sensors, more labels. MOVA is still playing that game to a degree, but this launch feels more focused on solving specific household frustrations. The V70’s extendable cleaning hardware, in particular, addresses a problem nearly every robot owner recognizes immediately.

Of course, the final verdict will depend on real-world testing. Edge cleaning claims are easy to present on stage and harder to prove in homes filled with chair legs, rugs, thresholds, and awkward furniture geometry. Still, on paper, MOVA has delivered one of the more convincing attempts I have seen to improve the last few centimeters of floor cleaning that usually remain untouched.

For readers comparing the two, my recommendation is straightforward: choose the V70 Ultra Complete if your main concern is corners, wall lines, and narrow unreachable zones. Look more closely at the Z70 Ultra Roller Complete if your priority is more advanced mopping performance and cleaner water management across larger areas.
